audrey, that translates to “at the library.” i’m at the library right now inbetween work. I should be in health class. I’m about to start workin on some homework I didn’t finish last night. I hate working on stuff so late, I get so burnt out.

I cannot wait for next Friday… I would say that I can’t wait for this weekend, it’s Gatlinburg! BUT, I’ve got homework due Saturday afternoon, a paper due Monday, and a midterm on Tuesday. I’ve got to take my computer to Gatlinburg and work on stuff in the mornings and at night I guess. It’s gonna be tough, but I’m looking forward to getting away from TECH!! God knows I need it.

I made pancakes and sausage for my friends. It was a great time. Tomorrow is the beginning of Lent, Ash Wednesday.

For Lent, I’m giving up AIM, Facebook, and MySpace during the week, till 3PM Friday. I’m also going to go to class EVERY DAY. 40 days, I think I can do it.

That probably means I will be posting a lot on this site.

I’ve been looking at other people’s pictures on Flickr. Stranger’s pictures. It’s really cool. It’s so neat to see what others choose worthy to photograph.

man this has been a pretty ok week. It started off bad, but then became great. I found out I got about average on my cs test, which is great. I’m really surprised to hear the grades were so low, though. So since then, I’ve not been doing much of anything.

I saw the Undertow Orchestra play Wednesday nite at the Five Spot in Little 5 Points. That place is really cool. Lots of artwork everywhere. The people were good too. Lots of old people. Not enough seating. Everyone in the band was sitting. It was really laid back. Some kids from Sundance were there filming everything. Kinda cool. Both Sandy and I agreed that David Bazan sounded better w/Undertow Orchestra than he did with Pedro the Lion. It was different, I liked it. Also, he’s just so cute, a big bear. When he smiles, I just wanna melt, it makes me so happy. Plus, he played a ton of great Pedro songs. Mary enjoyed that as well.

Thursday, last nite, I saw “Walk The Line”, the Johnny Cash story. It was pretty much awesome.

Tonite is CCF dinner and tomorrow nite I’m going to see my fav Augusta(!!!) band, BURNS OUT BRIGHT, somewhere in Marietta. It’ll be a great time, just like old times.

I cannot wait! And hopefully I will get a lot of work done this weekend because I get AIM and Facebook and MySpace on Sunday. Kim told me till Easter it’s really 46 days, and Lent doesn’t include the Sundays, so Sundays will be my day. Too bad we don’t have a class to skip on Sunday.

saw the Strokes tonite. They played A LONG TIME. man… I’m getting too old to be around too much pot and cigs and underage drinking. geez, its just too much immaturity for me, especially when i’m trying to enjoy a concert. it means something when the people you’re playing for have to use drugs to enjoy your music. either 1, they don’t give a damn or 2, you suck. i think no.1 was the case for tonite.

oh well, it was Julia’s fav band, and i think she had a good time. I think they were good musicians and i enjoyed it.

today has been crazy. health test this morning, way too many questions for the allotted time. finishing article summaries, thinking about project, class, projects, flickr, projects galore.

softball game tomorrow @ 6! ha i’m afraid i’ve forgotten how to throw. oh well. it will be fun.

so much to do!

my flickr is updated. i’ve got a ton of pictures on there. i just got a pro account. fun stuff. check it.

i’m listening to so much good stuff. i bought 3 cds over the weekend:

1. the eels with strings - live at town hall [excellent]

2. belle and sebastian - the life pursuit [great, but i already knew that]

3. vic chesnutt - ghetto bells [good, interesting, different]

matt made me a cd that is freakin awesome.

I’m heading out to Texas again this spring break. Vicki and I are roadtripping to her house in Austin, TX. 15 hour drive!!! Doing over half the drive, I hope I can do it. I hope gas isn’t 2.25 in Texas. Actually, it is. I just checked it out. I estimate about $85 gas one-way. I think we’re gonna floor it there and then chill on the way back to the ATL.

She’s gonna show me around and we are going to chill out. It will be such a good break! I’m not really gonna do anything except shoot footage and take pictures for my movie for my film class.

We’ll prolly head back Thursday or so and chill on the trip back, and then chill some in the ATL before classes start again.

Spring Break

it’s been great. Texas was great.

I’m at home right now. My apartment was freezing and my roomies were not there, so I went home. Had fun today w/the sisters. Got some cool shoes.
